Cyanotypes

The Passports, 2023. Cyanotype printed paper with hand-drawn illustrations, based on passport photos of family members dating back to the 70s. Embellished with pencils.

If You Ask Me To, 2023. Cyanotype on paper, collage, stitching.

Impulse and Divinity, 2023. This small piece of fabric has two cyanotype-printed sides. The front is a self-portrait taken on a digital camera. It was embellished with thread, then blindly quilted around the human form. The shroud of Turin is on the backside, perfectly outlined, revealing the divine nature of the impulsive action.

Braids on Bread, 2023. Exploration of cyanotype on bread. Inspired by the phrase "don't play with your food", this piece allowed me to experience childlike play memorialized through the infantile braids printed onto the bread.

Pain comme Autrefois, 2023. The back of Braids on Bread, this side is a collage on the supermarket bread using cuttings of a French recipe pamphlet from the 1960s. The phrase translates to "Bread like before", alluding to the traditional methods of bread baking.
